Hunsdon Publications Consent Form
As a charity seeking people’s welfare, the church[1] recognises that the privacy of individuals is important. As we strive to fulfil our charitable aims to serve the people of our local community, we want to communicate with people in a way which is fully supported by consent and which is in line with UK law on data protection. A recent change in the law (specifically, the introduction of the General Data Protection Regulations, GDPR) has implications for our publications – the Hunsdon Village News, the Hunsdon Village Welcome Pack, the Benefice Bulletin and, to a lesser degree, our website.[2]
It has been our practice to publish contact details for the named representative for the village organisations in our printed publications. Our purpose in including these organisations and the associated contact details is to create and foster community – doing so puts people in touch with others who share similar interests and generates friendships. In order that we may continue to provide this service both to Hunsdon residents (new and long-standing) and to the village organisations, we invite their representatives to help update our records so we know what personal data we may use to communicate with them and/or publish about them in the future.
If you are a representative of one of the organisations, on the form below (or via a pdf version at this link – return to the Parish Administrator, address below), please fill in the contact details you are happy for us to use (to contact you ourselves) and/or publish (so that others might contact you). By completing this form you are confirming that you are consenting to Hunsdon PCC holding and processing your personal data for the purposes you indicate. Please read our Data Privacy Notice – you will need to give your consent to this before you can submit the form.
You may grant consent to all the uses; some of the uses or none of the uses. Where you do not grant consent we will not be able to use your personal data except in certain limited situations, such as where required to do so by law or to protect members of the public from serious harm. You can find out more about how we use your data from our “Privacy Notice” which is available from our website or from the Parish Office.
You can withdraw or change your consent at any time by contacting the Parish Administrator, c/o The Rectory, Acorn Street, Hunsdon, Ware, SG12 8PB or by submitting a new version of this online form. Please note that all processing of your personal data will cease once you have withdrawn consent, other than where this is required by law, but this will not affect any personal data that has already been processed prior to this point.
Thank you.
Mark Dunstan, Rector
