Christmas is a great opportunity to celebrate God’s wonderful love shown in his coming to dwell with us and shining the light of hope into our darkness. This page shows all the Christmas activities across the benefice.

12th December

Hunsdon Church is hosting a Christmas Line Dance – 7:30pm in Hunsdon Village Hall. Tickets and details here.

19th December

Widford Church is delighted to welcome the Salvation Army Band once more. Join us at 7:30pm at Daintrees to sing some of the best known carols. Soup and rolls will be served from 7pm.

21st December

Hunsdon Church is probably holding their usual service of Carols Old and New in St Dunstan’s church building at 11:00am.

Widford Church is also holding a service of Carols by Candlelight at 6:30pm.

22nd December

Hunsdon Church hosts the Bishop’s Stortford Brass Band for Carols by Starlight. Hunsdon Village Hall at 7:30pm. Seasonal refreshments served in the hall afterwards.

24th December

The benefice Midnight Service will take place in St Dunstan’s church, Hunsdon, at 11:00pm. It will be a service of Holy Communion.

25th December

The benefice Christmas Morning Celebration will be in Widford’s church building at 10:30am. There will be a short service of Holy Communion afterwards.

28th December

As usual, the service for all the benefice on the First Sunday after Christmas in Wareside Church. This year it is at 10:30am and will be a service of Holy Communion. All are welcome.
